Kotb Project Title: An E-learning program for teaching basic concepts in curriculum and teaching methods to preservice teachers at the faculty of education
Outcomes: - Enabling students to use website software
- Enabling instructors to use PowerPoint and e-mail in presentation and teaching
- Enhancing students' learning through the use of information technology accompanied with cooperative learning strategies.
- Developing students' cognitive skills and critical thinking
- Enabling students to undertake their professional tasks in schools effectively and to link theory to practice
Specific objectives of the project: - Identification of basic concepts in "Curricula" and "Teaching Methods"
- Developing the e-learning program
- Loading the program on the web-site on the internet
- Training senior and junior staff in using the internet, PowerPoint and e-mail in teaching
- Developing pre-service teachers' awareness to orient them to accept new roles, to use the internet effectively and have access to the program content and enhance their learning skills
- Conducting pioneer implementation of the program
- Collecting data, analyzing it, and writing the final report
- Disseminating the project effects by holding a one-day seminar for staff members at other faculties of education
